Licensed Professional Counselor | National Board-Certified Counselor
Hi, I’m Brandy. I’m a therapist, a mom, and someone who’s spent years sitting with people in their most vulnerable, high-stakes moments. Before opening my practice in Austin, I worked in forensic psychology helping individuals make sense of complex, emotionally charged life experiences. That work shaped my belief in the power of story, resilience, and deep, personalized healing.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Juris Doctorate, and I’m a National Board-Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over a decade, helping people move through trauma, anxiety, relationship ruptures, and personal transformation.
Who I Work With
I work with people who are navigating change, craving clarity, or simply seeking more meaning in their lives. My clients are often thoughtful, capable, and outwardly successful, but internally may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for something to shift. Others come to therapy not because things are falling apart, but because they want to invest in their growth, relationships, and emotional wellness with intention.
I specialize in working with:
- Individuals working through life transitions, grief, anxiety, life transitions, or the lasting impact of past experiences
- Couples looking to strengthen connection, improve communication, navigate conflict, or gain clarity about their relationship, whether you're working to deepen your bond or thoughtfully explore the future together
- New and expectant parents facing postpartum anxiety, depression, or the emotional weight of adjusting to this life-changing role
- High-functioning professionals navigating burnout, perfectionism, or a disconnect between what they project and how they actually feel
Whether you’re in a season of challenge, transition, or personal growth, our work will be guided by your unique story, your values, and what matters most to you.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is warm, conversational, grounded and always guided by genuine curiosity and respect for your lived experience. I value creating a space where you can feel heard, supported, and challenged when needed. I’m not afraid to bring in directness or a little humor if it helps you move forward with more clarity and ease.
While each session is shaped by your unique needs, I draw from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Imago Therapy, Mindfulness-Based techniques, and Narrative Therapy, among others. I use an integrative approach, pulling from a variety of tools to support you in building emotional resilience, shifting old patterns, and reconnecting with your strengths in a way that fits your goals and values.
You won’t find judgment or rigid protocols here. You’ll find honest conversations, practical insights, and support that adapt as you grow.
